How To Apply to Run a SEEDS Campaign

How to apply?
Step 1: Get the Passport (If you don’t already have it)
Get invited
Get an invite from an existing member (whoever shared this article with you). Being invite-only is to prevent spam and abuse and to build strong trust in the community at this stage. There are rewards with getting an account and we don’t want bots to abuse that.
If you don’t know anyone in yet. Click here to go to the community and ask for one.
Step 2: Cultivate a proposal for your campaign
This campaign is for subsidizing and rewarding all the activities that create a more beautiful world!
This can be anything from #PlantSeedsGetSeeds #GoodDeedsGetSeeds #ProofOfFood #LoveLettersToEarth and anything else you believe the citizens of SEEDS would approve of.
The Citizens of SEEDS are the ones voting on what proposals are funded.
First, share your idea in the Forum
Go to the “Campaigns” section of the forum. Here you’ll find current Campaigns and previous ideas and discussions.
Make your own post and share your idea!
Here you can collaborate with the community to see what they think of your campaign and how it can be improved before you put it up for a vote.
Note: You need to get 80% of the votes in favor of your proposal and at least 5% of the Citizens voting for you in order for it to pass!
2.1 Research
Look at previously passed campaigns, discuss with the community in the Forum and engage with the Hypha team to find out what the community is supporting and what to ask for.
Best practice is to create a forum proposal discussing your campaign idea and seeing what the community thinks before submitting a grant request.
2.2 Constraints & best practice

These bands reflect how much your organisation is leading the regeneration movement and the size of your economy & community.
- Local Community Small Campaign $1,000 — $5,000 USD in Seeds
- Local Community Large Campaign $5,000 — $12,000 USD in Seeds
- Bio-regional to Global Large Campaign $15,000 — $50,000 USD in Seeds
- Massive Marketing & Global Campaign $50,000 — $100,000 USD in Seeds

We want to run a campaign to reward local communities to take direct action to regenerate their landscapes through planting trees and gardens.
What value would this campaign bring to the Regenertive Movement
- More trees.
- Local Food.
What are the details of this campaign?
We want to give 100 Seeds for each tree planted and 300 Seeds for each garden. Up to 500 Seeds per participant!
We’re looking for a total of 50,000 Seeds to have 100 people participate in this campaign.
Who’s running the campaign
The campaign will be run by us the “Local Tree Planting Collective”.
Step 3: Apply in the Co-op
After you’ve cultivated your proposal, it’s time to plant the idea.
Proposal fee
No one needs to ask permission to submit a campaign proposal.
However, there is a proposal fee of 500 Seeds. You’re encouraged to do research before making a proposal.
This fee is to reduce spam and abuse and ensures your “money is where your mouth is”.
If your proposal passes you will get this fee back!
3.1 Create a Proposal
- First, make sure you know the account these Seeds are going to be dispurssed to. If you’re running anything other than a local campaign, talk to Hypha about setting up an escrow account to manage this campaign.
- Then head over to the Co-Op tab inside your Passport and click the pen button on the bottom right to create a new proposal.
- Click on “A Campaign”.
3.2 New/Full Moon — New Proposals
New proposals are released at the beginning of each new and full moon. Your proposal will go live for community vote at these points and will close at the next new/full moon.
Step 4: Promote
Now that you’ve submitted your proposal you can engage with the SEEDS community and get them to vote for you.
Help them see the value this campaign will bring to the movement and to creating a healthier planet.
Feel free to post in the Forum (if you haven’t already) that you’ve got a campaign that you feel strongly about.
Step 5: Follow through
If your proposal passes, make sure you follow through with running the campaign. Citizens are able to reverse their votes and retract any remaining Seeds. If this happens your reputation will suffer greatly.
It pays to stay in integrity and keep your commitments.
Post updates
Share what’s going on in the forum with the SEEDS community. Follow through with updates to keep growing trust in the community and increasing your ability to run more campaigns.
Step 6: Grow
After you’ve successfully run a campaign — go about doing another. There is a lot of things to be done to create a globally regenerative culture.

Frequently asked questions and conditions
Can I spend these Seeds right away?
Yes! Campaign Seeds earned through campaigns are immediately available for using, trading and exchanging. Members are encouraged to hold on to their Seeds at this stage as the value may increase as the movement spreads!
How long does the process take?
Voting starts and ends on each new and full moon. Each proposal may take anywhere from 2–4 weeks from proposal to payout.
